Details about the position:
Position: Team Lead ASP / VB (Financial Services, Brokering domain)
Location: Pune
Requisites:
- 6 to 8 years of Experience
- Basic knowledge on capital markets Microsoft skills like ASP, VB,
.Net, Oracle / Sybase
- ASP, VB, ColdFusion, VB .Net, VBA, COM, Sybase, Oracle
- Knowledge on Java or Cold Fusion is added advantage
- Good front ending skills with customers
- Should have experience of support / maintenance projects (either as
a lead or developer)
- Should be technically hands on
Responsibilities:
- Lead the support and maintenance team of 5 to 8 people.
- Support the systems used in Sales and Research department of a brokering firm
- Support includes all L1, L2 and L3 support
- Act as a single point of contact for client
- Ensure overall end-user satisfaction for the support and maintenance work
- Build relationships and communicate effectively with business
people, external clients, vendor and other system areas
- Reassign, reprioritize, follow-up and escalate as appropriate to
resolve open issues
- Assist team members in resolution of the more complex issues by
coordinating with development team
- Monitor workload of production support personnel, evaluate issues
volume and identify areas of improvements
- Perform scheduling and adjust shifts to accommodate peak hour
window, personnel abilities, unavailability of production support
personnel
- Produce weekly, monthly and yearly performance metrics
- Provide maintenance and outage notifications for customers
- Co-ordinate application releases to production environment and
ensure best practice procedures are in place with regards to this
- Perform analysis of current production support needs, operating
limitations and report process improvements
- Ensure adherence to SEPG guidelines and Best Practices
- Work with management team to identify process improvements
- Proactively seek ways to provide a better service (e.g. raise
defects or enhancement requests, implement new enhancements)
- Steer & lead the team to perform in high pressure, demanding environment
- Ensure adequate training, documentation and support plans have been
in during change management process
- Provide strong leadership in disciplines of production support
management, focusing on suggesting improvements in production support
policies and procedures
